Who is behind freenet?

Freenet is a totally owned subsidiary of Compass Communications Limited.

Established in 1995, Compass is an independent, privately owned business-to-business telecommunications company employing 50 staff with a turnover in excess of $10 million dollars per year.

Compass has three main shareholders:

John Fernyhough (Chairman)
Karim Hussona (Chief Executive Officer)
Paul Carter (Chief Financial Officer)

Compass Communications offers a wide range of services to the business community including: low cost enhanced fax services; direct dial toll calls; Internet Services; local telephone services; and a range of data services including leased lines and frame relay.
