a freenet subscriber you need to have an IBM compatible PC that meets
the following minimum system requirements: 
- Windows
95/98 or Windows NT4
- 486 system
- 16MB
of RAM
- 12MB
of free disk space
- 14.4
modem
- SVGA
monitor
- Internet
Explorer 4 and above or
- Netscape
Navigator 4 and above
Important:
You can only connect to freenet using a dial-up modem.
Note: OS2, Unix, Macintosh
and other makes of
computers will work with freenet but are not directly supported by
freenet. You may find the necessary settings required by your specific
computer in the help section of this web site. No help can be provided as
we do not have these computer systems available to us.
